Lovely pub with a nice little outdoor smoking area which I have used in the past. The pub was crowded when I visited on 24th Feb as the rugby match was being shown. The crowd and staff were welcoming and I enjoyed my two halves of beer before I moved on to get some food. A selection of four real ales was available.
An excellent micropub in the middle of Dover Town centre and close to the new St James Shopping development. This pub serves a range of cask (served direct from the cask using gravity) and keg beers. On my visit they had a wide range of styles including Best Bitter (Amber), Pales Ales and Stouts. This pub was very busy but it was still possible to hold a conversation. They have a small covered area to the rear.
What a great tap room! A little gem in the centre of Dover and well worth a visit. We stopped in after a 15 km walk from Lydden to Dover and we really needed a drink. The service was excellent and the surroundings quite conducive for relaxing on a Sunday afternoon. There is a great selection of cask conditioned and keg ales, including Time and Tide and Thornbridge, which are really well kept. I would have liked to have stayed longer, but had to catch a bus; and will be back!
Stop by for a pint and ended up by couple of drinks because of awesome craft beer variety. Simply loved this place. A welcoming little pub with a wide selection of ales. Friendly staff who knows his job well. Very warm atmosphere. Reasonable prices. Recommend this micropub.
Loved it! A welcoming little pub with a wide choice of ales. The staff was friendly and nice to us. Little patio, and a warm atmosphere.
Great little bar in a sea of, let's be honest, grotty inner city pubs selling mostly yellow fizz. Beer, a selection of 4 ales, I enjoyed them all. They, I assume, are always changing, and someone appears to know their stuff when purchasing. Very very well priced for an inner city pub. Ciders are also available, another interesting selection of 8, although I didn't get to try any. Bar staff, Liam, was friendly and helpful with suggestions of food in the area and was happy for us to bring a takeaway in as they do not serve food. Gets my recommendation if you are in Dover and like a proper beer.
Friendly atmosphere. Wide range of drinks available. The Christmas quiz was great fun and the food was amazing all for 5!!
Local bar with many cask and tap beers. The locals are fun and funny. Great place for a pint and relax
